Saturday, 10th July

This morning we all get up rather late. And I mean really late! It is Saturday, and it is a day of leisure. After breakfast we decide to visit the local market that is held on the west side of the port. It is a huge market with lots of booths. Many of these I have seen before earlier this week at Agde. They sell fresh vegetables and fruits, wines, clothes fabrics, etc.. We walk around for a while, but the enormous crowd and the rising temperature don´t make it easy. So, we flee into one of the side streets, away from the crowd, and stroll back to the apartment.

This was our morning outing. For the rest of the morning we keep things really quiet. And so is the resort. Quiet. A lot people have left for home yesterday evening and some left early this morning. Around about two in the afternoon I become restless. I have to do something. My oldest son wants to go to the rocky outcrop between "Plage de la Roquille" and "Plage du Mole". He wants to go look for some more shells and animals. So we start by walking to the "Plage de la Roquille" beach. The weather is really nice; it is sunny and warm with a bright blue sky. Arrived at the beach I am perplexed, there are an awful lot of people on the beach today.

We take of our shoes and put the towels that we brought along in our necks in order to protect these against the burning sun. Scrutinising the seafloor for shells we wander through the surf into the direction of "Plage du Mole". Every now and then I sit down on the beach and look at the people while my son keeps searching for shells. Gradually we end up on the "Plage du Mole" beach.

Somewhere along the beach we find some branches of a marine plant. We keep them for souvenirs (or something). Around five we head back for the apartment and diner.

Tonight there are no activities planned by the animation team, and like them we keep things quiet also.
