In September 2011 we made a seven day city trip to the United States of America. Our first intercontinental flight and longest flight so far with a flight time of approximately seven and a half hours. We leave on September twenty, returning to the Netherlands on September twenty-seven. Due to the fact that you fly East, you loose a day, effectively you spend six days in the United States.
Day 1
Tuesday, September 20th, 2011Arrived at JFK we go through customs, which takes a while due to all of the security, after which we pick up our luggage. Once outside.....
Day 2
Wednesday, September 21th, 2011Today we take part in a guided tour around Manhattan; the Manhattan Comprehensive city tour. For this we have to report.....
Day 3
Thursday, September 22th, 2011A new day has arrived and the appetite to go with it. I get dressed and leave the hotel into Forty Seventh Street. On the corner with Broadway....
Day 4
Friday, September 23th, 2011After having finished a nice Starbucks breakfast we walk east on Forty Seventh Street to the crossing with Fifth Avenue. We need to buy a vest....
Day 5
Saturday, September 24th, 2011Weeks before we left home we had booked and printed off some free admission tickets for the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. We came across some add on the internet.....
Day 6
Sunday, September 25th, 2011Starbucks breakfast is a good breakfast; sweet and\or savoury alike, you will find something to your liking there. We will be back to normal as of tomorrow. Today is our last day.....
